In The Making

Challenge
Creating an end credit sequence for a movie with a unique style and sense of humor was a lot of fun. The film follows a foster child with a history of bad behavior, who is on his last chance to find a family before facing juvenile detention. Just as he begins to feel at home, his foster mother passes away, prompting child welfare to reassess his placement. Upon hearing this, he decides to run away.

Goal
Believe it or not, this film is a comedy. My approach was to reflect its dry humor, heartfelt moments, and the chaotic search for Ricky Baker. I chose to design the end credit sequence as if it were child welfare paperwork documenting the search for Ricky Baker and Hector Faulkner. This concept effectively captures the film’s unique tone and elements.

Solution
To bring this project to life, I began by drafting maps, articles, paperwork, and drawings, incorporating symbols from the movie and elements relevant to a manhunt. After developing these materials and creating a storyboard, it was time to move on to the animation phase.
